WHAT IS "PERMANENT JEWELRY"?

Permanent jewelry is a wonderful way to celebrate occasions, mark milestones, make a style statement and create special memories with friends and loved ones. We custom fit a chain to your wrist, neck, or ankle. A small welder is used to weld the ends of the chain together for an easy and painless process. We do not use a clasp. Instead, a tiny jump ring is used to connect and weld the two ends of the chain, turning it into a "permanent" piece of jewelry. Please keep in mind that the term "permanent" is used because the jewelry is meant to be worn 24/7. It has the potential to last for years with proper care, but can be removed if needed. To remove your permanent jewelry piece, simply use scissors or nail clippers to cut the jump ring (the ring that was welded).

DOES IT HURT?

No pain is involved. The only feeling you will have is the excitement of having a beautiful new piece of jewelry and the memories made while doing so.

DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT?

Yes, we work through appointments. A $25 deposit is required to schedule your private appointment. This deposit will be applied towards your total on the day of your appointment. Deposits are non-refundable but can be transferred if you reschedule with at least 24 hours notice. Because we are mostly a mobile service, a $20 travel fee will apply for private appointments if we come to you, or we can make arrangements for you to come to our location in Downtown Nashville at no cost.

We also have availability for in-your-home Jewelry Sampling Parties. It's a relaxed and low-pressure gathering where you can invite a few friends, put out some snacks, and enjoy some quality time with your friends. While we take care of helping everyone choose a beautiful piece of jewelry, you can simply relax and unwind. **As a special thank you for hosting a Jewelry Sampling Party, you can earn a complimentary bracelet with a minimum purchase of five items by your guests.

Permanent jewelry is a great addition to your bachelorette party (the perfect gift for your bridesmaids), as a Mom and Me memory, matching pieces with your besties, an anniversary or birthday piece, client/employee appreciation or a graduation gift. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

Each appointment lasts about 10-15 minutes. We kindly ask that you arrive on time as this will give us enough time to assist you in your chain selection, custom fit your chain specifically to you, and then weld on your new favorite piece!

HOW MANY PIECES CAN I GET WITH ONE APPOINTMENT?

You can get as many pieces as you would like. Bracelet stacks (multiple bracelets) are absolutely beautiful!

WHAT MATERIALS DO YOU USE?

We offer options in gold filled (NOT gold plated) and sterling silver.

Gold filled material is made by bonding a layer of 12K or 14K gold alloy to a base metal core (typically brass, but sometimes copper or silver). This creates a material with the appearance and durability of solid gold, but at a lower cost.

Sterling Silver is real silver but with an important difference. Pure silver (or fine silver) is 99.9% silver, but it’s too soft to make into durable jewellery and other items. To strengthen it, fine silver is alloyed with 7.5% copper, creating what we know as sterling silver.People with allergies to solid gold, sterling silver, and gold fill should not get permanent jewelry. SKYLINE SPARK NASHVILLE is not responsible for allergic reactions. People with pacemakers should also avoid permanent jewelry because of the welding process.

WHAT ARE THE PRICES?

Sterling Silver bracelets are $60 each. Sterling Silver anklets are $65 each. Sterling Silver necklaces are $6 per inch.

Gold Filled bracelets are $70 each. Gold Filled anklets are $75 each. Gold Filled necklaces are $7 per inch.

Charms and Connectors are $10 each.

We have a large assortment of chains in gold filled and sterling silver for you to choose from.

DOES MY PERMANENT JEWELRY COME WITH A GUARANTEE OR WARRANTY?

Our Permanent Jewelry Stylists employ an inspection process to ensure your jewelry is properly welded before you exit your appointment. If your Permanent Jewelry breaks AT THE WELD spot within 14 days, we will re-weld at no charge.After 14 days, a $10 re-weld fee will be charged. We cannot offer replacements, refunds or discounts to replace broken (see above exception) or lost chains, due to the personal nature of the wearer’s lifestyle, job and other external factors that are out of our control.

DO YOU WELD PERMANENT JEWELRY ON CHILDREN?

Permanent jewelry or any jewelry piece can be a danger to young children. SKYLINE SPARK NASHVILLE welds only bracelets and anklets (no necklaces) on minors ages 5-16 with a signed consent by a legal guardian.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY PERMANENT JEWELRY?

To keep your permanent jewelry looking its best, use a soft cloth or brush to gently scrub the jewelry with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly with water and dry with a soft, lint-free cloth. Use a polishing cloth to restore shine. Cleaners, such as TarnX, can be used on your sterling silver pieces, but is not intended to clean gold filled jewelry. Avoid harsh chemicals and exposure to bleach and chlorine. Avoid abrasive cleaners, which can damage the metal. Be mindful of activities that can damage your permanent jewelry. The durability of permanent jewelry depends on the material/metal used as well as the wearer’s lifestyle, job and other external factors. Please keep in mind everyone’s body chemistry is different and some people naturally produce more oils or acids that can accelerate tarnishing.
